Using CCSSE Data to Analyze the Impact of Risk Factors on Student Outcomes
Pettitt, Maureen A.
Journal of Applied Research in the Community College, v14 n1 p59-64 Fall 2006
The purpose of this study was to create a methodology for examining the impact of risk factors on student learning and engagement at a community college using the Community College Survey of Student Engagement (CCSSE). The two primary objectives associated with the study were to examine differences between students who took the CCSSE based on their level of risk and to establish baseline data against which the responses of students participating in the college's TRIO/Student Support Services program could be compared. This comparison served as one part of the Student Support Services program's ongoing assessment plan. (Contains 4 tables.)
