This chapter examines linkages between parenting and peer enemy relationships and looks at the relations between attachment styles and enemy relationships among middle school children. The results demonstrate that linkages between the family context and peer enmity exist and can be detected, and can be organized based on the following themes: (1) enemy relationships as dyadic phenomena; (2) overlap between enmity and other dyadic relationships; and (3) linkages between family context and enemy relationships with peers.
