The New Rule Paradigm Shift: Transforming At-Risk Programs by Matching Business Archetypes Strategies in the Global Market
Stark, Paul S.
Community College Journal of Research and Practice, v31 n6 p491-492 Jun 2007
The challenge was given to transform aviation-related programs to keep them from being eliminated. These programs were to be discontinued due to enrollment declines, costs, legislative mandates, lack of administrative support, and drastic state budget reductions. The New Rule was a paradigm shift of focus to the global market for program sustainability, rather than relying on dwindling academic funding sources. By matching business archetype strategies in a global market, these programs were strengthened and have become models for others.
