The Future of E-Learning
Clarke, Alan
Adults Learning, v18 n7 p14-15 Mar 2007
In this article, the author reflects on the potential benefits of e-learning. E-learning is not a single strand but is multifaceted, covering a wide range of approaches and methods. One major but general benefit is that learning with technology can be motivating. E-learning has the potential to motivate, develop confidence and self-esteem, overcome many barriers that learners encounter, personalise the learning experience, widen access and improve the learning experience, while also helping people to develop their ICT skills. These are significant advantages that need to be made available to all learners.
