Thoughts on Teaching: Cheaters Never Prosper...
Starnes, Bobby Ann
Phi Delta Kappan, v86 n8 p635 Apr 2005
In this article, Bobby Ann Starnes, discusses cheating in the classroom and in the political world. She uses specific examples from her own school experiences and from president Bush's "Texas Miracle." She discusses what students consider as real needs for cheating, which include students staying eligible for sports or membership in student council. The author seeks moral and ethical clarity, but its absence in the No Child Left Behind (NCLB) Act leaves her speechless.
