Funding Provided by Historically Black Colleges and Universities for Student Affairs: A Comparison with Counterpart Historically White Colleges and Universities.
Schuh, John H.
National Association of Student Affairs Professionals Journal, v6 n1 p25-33 Spr 2003
Funding for Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs) typically has lagged behind traditionally White counterparts. This study compared spending per student for student affairs at HBCUs with traditionally White counterparts. Results indicated there was no statistically significant difference in spending between the two types of institutions. Notably, spending on student affairs per student was affected by the institution's Carnegie type. (Contains 17 references and 3 tables.) (Author)
