Proposes that positions which claim that classrooms and institutions are historically situated in economic and political structures lack a critique of capital. Examines the technologizing of composition through the critical lens of political economy. Concludes that in order to speak ethically, compositionists who theorize the role of technology in writing instruction must not forget political economy. (PM)
