A literature review focused on vocational themes in relation to the Christian church's role in career guidance and development: vocational guidance as a church responsibility; the dignity of occupations; leisure as an aspect of work; women's career development; and occupation for older adults. The review concluded that literature on the topic has declined since the 1960s and wider-scale efforts by churches are needed. (Contains 62 references.) (SK)
