The Dangerous Right to Human Education.
Lechner, Daniel
Studies in Philosophy and Education, v20 n3 p279-81 May 2001
Uses the theories of Michel Foucault to support the contention that the educational system normalizes and disciplines the individual rather than stimulates the development of personal potential. Argues that children should be allowed to co-author the contracts they have with their educators; in this way education can serve to empower the child. (NB)
