Results of Two National Surveys of Leadership Personnel Needs in Deaf Education.

Thirty-eight teacher preparation programs and 65 instructional programs serving students with deafness were surveyed on leaderships needs in deaf education. More than 80% of the preparation programs indicated they had attempted to hire a faculty member within the past 3 years with 97% not satisfied with the pool of applicants. (Contains references.) (CR)
