The Five-Factor Model of Personality and Career Success.

Measures of career success and an inventory of the Five-Factor Model of Personality were completed by 496 workers. Extraversion was related positively to salary, promotion, and career satisfaction; neuroticism was related negatively to satisfaction. A significant negative relationship between agreeableness and salary was found for workers in people-oriented occupations. (Contains 67 references.) (SK)
