Jointly discusses the cultural values of Native Americans, presents an integrative review of value studies conducted on Native Americans, and describes a traditional Native-American view of wellness with implications for counseling. Stresses that it is important for counselors to informally assess and more fully understand Native-American cultural values in order to promote the wellness of those clients. (Author/GCP)
