People Matter: Client-Reported Interpersonal Interaction and Its Impact on Symptoms of Schizophrenia.
Marley, James A.
Social Work, v43, n5 p437-44 Sep 1998
Examines the nature of the subjective experience of schizophrenic individuals (N=54) during symptom-fluctuation episodes, what the individuals perceived as the most important symptom fluctuations during those episodes, and what the individuals perceived as causing the fluctuations. The findings suggest that mental-health professionals should be more aware of the relationship of interpersonal interaction to changes and decompensation in people with schizophrenia. (Author/EMK)
