Caregiver Perceptions and Child-Caregiver Interactions in a Newly Inclusive Infant Child Care Center.
Recchia, Susan L.; Berr, Christy N.; Hsiung, Madeline
Early Childhood Education Journal, v26 n2 p111-16 Win 1998
Explored caregivers' perceptions concerning inclusion of infants and toddlers with special needs, as well as their actual behaviors toward these children. Findings indicated that while individual differences in infant behavior may affect caregiving need more than differences specific to a particular risk condition, caregivers' perceptions about working with at-risk children may affect their expectations for children's behavior.
