Berkowitz, Bob
Big6 Newsletter: Teaching Technology Information Skills, v1 n5 p4-5 May-Jun 1998
The Big6 Skills provide a framework for analyzing instructional variables and can be phrased as a series of questions for analysis: (1) Task Definition, (2) Information Seeking Strategies, (3) Location and Access, (4) Use of Information, (5) Synthesis, (6) Evaluation. A fictional seventh-grade teacher/class is used as an example of using the Big6 in a class of mixed abilities. (AEF)
