Overcoming the Grammar Deficit: The Role of Information Technology in Teaching German Grammar to Undergraduates.
Hall, Christopher
Canadian Modern Language Review, v55 n1 p41-60 Oct 1998
Examines how application of computer-assisted language learning (CALL) and information technology can be used to overcome "grammar deficit" seen in many British undergraduate German students. A combination of explicit, implicit, and exploratory grammar teaching approaches uses diverse resources, including word processing packages, electronic dictionaries and grammars, World Wide Web, concordancers, electronic mail, computer games/simulations, and authoring aids.
