Chambers, John W., Jr.; Kambon, Kobi; Birdsong, Bobbi Davis; Brown, Jamye; Dixon, Pamela; Robbins-Brinson, Larmia
Journal of Black Psychology, v24 n3 p368-96 Aug 1998
Investigated whether there were distinct behavioral profiles involving perceived and daily stress and Afrocentric identity in a sample of 701 African American college students at historically Black colleges and universities. Afrocentric identity and stress were not correlated, but the cluster with the highest level of Afrocentric identity exhibited the lowest level of perceived stress. (SLD)
