Three self-instructional science modules were developed and pilot tested in the Jamaican secondary education system for the concept mapping, cooperative grouping, and laboratory approaches. Formative evaluation revealed that the modules enhanced teachers' understanding of the Reform Of Secondary Education (R.O.S.E.) methodology; however content of the modules needs to be reduced to facilitate ease of use on the job.
