Behavioral Characteristics of Elementary and Secondary Students with Emotional/Behavioral Disabilities in Four Different Cascade Placements.
Muscott, Howard S.
Education and Treatment of Children, v20 n3 p336-56 Aug 1997
A study compared the characteristics of 473 students with emotional/behavioral disabilities in four sequential special education placements (resource rooms, special classes, special schools, and residential schools). Results found that secondary students in resource rooms exhibited more maladaptive behavior than younger resource room students, and secondary students in residential placements had poorer work habits than peers in elementary programs.
