Does Clinical Training Facilitate Feigning Schizophrenia on the MMPI-2?
Bagby, R. Michael; And Others
Psychological Assessment, v9 n2 p106-12 Jun 1997
The effects of knowledge of psychiatry and psychological testing on the ability to feign schizophrenia on the Minnesota Multiphasic Personality Inventory were studied with 54 clinically trained participants, 24 undergraduates with no clinical training, and 51 patients. Results suggest that even mental health professionals have difficulty feigning schizophrenia. (SLD)
