The Changing Context of Social Work Practice: Implications and Recommendations for Social Work Educators.
Jarman-Rohde, Lily; And Others
Journal of Social Work Education, v33 n1 p29-47 Win 1997
Political and economic developments are reshaping traditional social work practice. Government funding cuts, privatization, and cost containment in human services have altered service organization and availability. Programs have closed or downsized and critical services have been reduced. These changes have altered the environment for social work field instruction, in which students learn and raise ethical and philosophical questions about practice. (Author/MSE)
