At the Interface of Cultures: Multiethnic/Multiracial High School and College Students.
Phinney, Jean S.; Alipuria, Linda L.
Journal of Social Psychology, v136 n2 p139-158 Apr 1996
Interprets and contrasts data from two large student surveys investigating attitudes among interracial and monoracial high school and college students. Refutes earlier studies that suggested interracial students suffer from diminished self esteem and psychological well being. Discovers interesting anomalies between ethnic self-labeling and the design of survey questions. (MJP)
