Describes the Mudge Matrix model, a technique that assigns weights through a series of comparisons, which was developed and applied to librarian's salaries at Indiana University libraries in order to examine inequities. Criteria included external and internal contact with libraries, supervisory capacities, independence, responsibility levels, and experience. Discrepancies and problems in the library salary policy are discussed. (LAM)
