Summarizes interviews with several African American women managers employed by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency. Participants were asked about their leadership training, mentoring opportunities, the glass ceiling, and family responsibilities. These managers maintain their status while providing care for family members, continuing their education, and sharing their expertise by mentoring others. (MLH)
