Learned Helplessness: A Case Study of a Middle School Student.
Walling, Mary D.; Martinek, Thomas J.
Journal of Teaching in Physical Education, v14 n4 p454-66 Jul 1995
A case study of one female middle school student examined her tendency toward learned helplessness. Observations and interviews with the student and her teachers indicated that she lacked confidence; her belief that she could not change her intellectual and social situation was pervasive. Approaches to intervention are discussed. (SM)
