Henry, Mary E.
International Journal of Qualitative Studies in Education, v5 n4 p295-309 Oct-Nov 1992

Finds one school's rules and procedures promoted scientific analysis, abstract thinking, and individualism, whereas other saw itself as nurturing community, seeking organic and interdependent relationship with world. Concludes both schools engender commitment and belief among their populations and attempt to deal with issues of self-identification and purpose. (CFR)
