Self-Esteem in the School: More than a "Feel-Good" Movement.
Youngs, Bettie B.
NASSP Bulletin, v76 n549 p59-66 Jan 1993
The six vital ingredients of student self-esteem are physical safety, emotional security, identity, affiliation, competence, and mission. Principals must provide leadership in staff development, parent participation, recognition of new work demands, and development of a health school environment. (MLH)
