School Choice for African-American Children Who Live in Poverty: A Commitment to Equity or More of the Same?
Trent, Stanley C.
Urban Education, v27 n3 p291-307 Oct 1992
Argues against the Bush administration's school choice proposal from historical and sociocultural perspectives. Equity for minority groups has never occurred as a by-product of a focus on excellence. (SLD)
