Responses from 74 of 85 secondary agricultural teachers surveyed revealed effective recruiting practices such as visiting students or using new technologies were not often used because they were time consuming; Future Farmers of America (FFA) activities form high percentage of recruiting practices; and teachers who were FFA members in high school were more likely to use FFA for recruitment.
