The article examines issues addressed by the British National Curriculum History Working Group concerning history instruction for students with disabilities. The working group's recommendations are summarized and assessed in regard to special educational needs. Potential problems are identified and suggestions for successful implementation such as greater flexibility with the guidelines are made. (DB)
