Experiential Involvement as an Adjunct to Teaching Cultural Sensitivity.
Mio, Jeffrey Scott
Journal of Multicultural Counseling and Development, v17 n1 p38-46 Jan 1989
Examined effects of two types of cross-cultural experiences upon knowledge and understanding of ethnic minority groups--an intensive relationship with a single member of the ethnic group or a breadth of experiences with a single ethnic group. Results suggest that actual one-to-one exchange of ideas with an individual was more effective technique. (NB)
