Examined effects of sex and sexual attitude similarity on undergraduates' (N=209) perceptions of a counselor. Subjects gave more positive ratings on a general measure of counselor credibility and on specific measures of confidence in the counselor's ability to help with sexually relevant problems to counselors expressing attitudes similar to the subjects' own than to counselors expressing dissimilar attitudes.
