The impact of community educators of remaining employed in an area with high unemployment was studied. The subjects serve as a liaison between elementary school children, parents, and community agencies offering services to needy children. Changes in subjects' health, job responsibilities, and perceptions of their effectiveness are discussed. (MCK)
