Examined the career patterns and characteristics of 104 chief student personnel administrators. Data indicated opportunities for upward mobility may be decreasing due to enrollment decline, fewer positions, and increasing tenure. Nearly half the administrators reported planning to stay in their positions until retirement, and most were under 50. (JAC)
