A study of the efficiency of methods used to recruit industrial arts students concluded that (1) more effort should be made to increase underrepresented populations; (2) industrial arts teachers should be cultivated as recruiters; and (3) personal interests, hobbies, and exposure to secondary school industrial arts strongly influence career choice.
