Describes the collection of papers located in the Congregational Library in Boston which relate to the history of American education in the nineteenth and early twentieth centuries. Papers include manuscript minutes of meetings, financial ledgers, correspondence of the American Education Society, and reports concerning colleges and theological schools which were supported by the Congregationalists.
