Too often, counselors engage in a game of hide-and-seek with bias, using their complicated measuring devices, their expertise in the empirical, their concepts of validity and reliability, their jargon, and all the other sophisticated paraphernalia of the trade to rationalize and protect their own biases and generalizations.
