Workplace Incivility of Faculty Members in Higher Education Settings: A Bibliometric Analysis
Ahmed Al-Asfour
Journal of Faculty Development, v37 n2 p31-40 2023
Academic incivility is becoming a challenging issue among higher education faculty, students, and staff, primarily because of the unwritten rules of promotion, tenure, and work responsibilities. The purpose of this study is to analyze the current workplace incivility research of faculty members in higher education settings using bibliometric analysis. This study utilizes bibliometric analysis to conduct a systematic review of the academic literature on workplace incivility in faculty members. One important finding in this study is, workplace incivility in faculty members must receive more attention from researchers, especially those interested in studying leader-subordinate and team dynamics.
