Education for Social Justice: Everyone Should Have the Right to Learn
Vicky Duckworth
FORUM: for promoting 3-19 comprehensive education, v66 n3 p56-60 2024
Further and adult education provide a multitude of social and intergenerational benefits that have often been diminished because of the lack of focus on the importance of human emotional engagement and impact from one generation to the next. Stories offer a lens to explore emotional worlds that have often been hidden and/or silenced. Initially, I draw on my own story which has catalysed my commitment to activism and to research that offers a platform for often historically silenced voices to be heard, and to challenge inequity in its many forms.
