Announcing New NHSDA Programming Connecting Secondary and Higher Education Chapters
Susan McGreevy-Nichols; Marissa Finkelstein
Dance Education in Practice, v10 n1 p23-25 2024
The National Honor Society for Dance Arts (NHSDA) has existed since 2005, and more than 35,000 students have been inducted to celebrate their artistic merit, leadership, and academic achievement in dance. A recent addition to NHSDA programming, specifically geared toward highlighting the contributions of our collegiate chapter members, is a new panel series titled NHSDA Voices: Exploring College Dance Pathways. These virtual panels showcase the vast and meaningful experiences of collegiate NHSDA chapter members. As NHSDA continues to grow with the changing dance landscape, developing new programs represents the commitment to providing a multifaceted and enriching experience for members. Programming for collegiate members helps prepare them for success in their future endeavors in the dance industry, and new NHSDA initiatives will only further this.
