The National Conference is the National Dance Education Organization's (NDEO) flagship program, bringing together longtime and new members, seasoned professionals and college students, and dance educators from every sector and a wide range of dance genres. NDEO's National Conference is unique among other dance education summits and professional development events in that it is not specific to any particular genre or sector of dance. They strive to include conference sessions and events that offer value to dance educators working in higher education, K-12 schools, and the independent sector including performing arts organizations, community and cultural centers, and private studios. Each year, the conference brings together the diverse membership of educators, artists, administrators, students, professionals, and advocates, who teach, create, and perform across a wide spectrum of dance genres.
