Online Teaching and the COVID-19 Virus: An Essential Guide!
Sull, Errol Craig
Distance Learning, v20 n2 p2-5 2023
COVID-19 has turned people's lives around in so many ways. One huge migration has been to distance learning, with schools previously offering face-to-face classes now shuttered and teaching their classes online; and businesses with employees at home, still working, yet doing it remotely, that is, from their computers. For some this is business as usual: faculty who have already been teaching online, and company employees who are used to giving distance learning training, holding distance learning meetings, and giving distance learning reports. This column is a guide to the basics of teaching online, for people who are new/somewhat new to distance learning. And for people who know online teaching well, this column will help--it has new wrinkles, all courtesy of COVID-19.
