Social Media and Art Therapy Services: Adapting and Evolving
Nolan, Emily; Bostelmann, Erin
Art Therapy: Journal of the American Art Therapy Association, v39 n2 p98-102 2022
This brief report presents a community art therapy studio's response during the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic to address (1) community programming needs and (2) provide necessary training hours for graduate art therapy interns. An action research study informed the development of a tele-health model that used social media. The findings indicate that the changes ensured continuity of services, widened participant base, and enhanced graduate training.
