AACRAO Research: A Year in Review 2021

Thanks to engaged members and research partners, the American Association of Collegiate Registrars and Admissions Officers (AACRAO) was able to engage in research and produce reports on several topics again in 2021. AACRAO Research completed four 60-Second Surveys and six comprehensive reports. Other research-supported work included: facilitating the transfer student success workgroup; engaging in research on the impact of policy on credit transfer with five institutions in Texas; and partnering with faculty to support their research and publications with de-identified AACRAO data. The content of this article is limited to the published research reports. It includes a brief introduction of each research topic, a summary of the key data points, and, if applicable, practice recommendations. Each have been modified slightly from the original reports to reflect changes in tense and for abbreviation. The purpose of this article is to provide a single source for research finding takeaways from 2021.
