Insight into Speculative Future Scenarios of Touching in a Society of Social Isolation

Art Education, v75 n3 p43-44 2022
The artwork "Insight Into Speculative Future Scenarios of Touching in a Society of Social Isolation" is based on the speculative design case "TouchBuddy" developed by Engbirk-Friis et al. (2020). It is an inquiry into how technology might mediate touching in real time in a society of social isolation. The research is speculative, based on the restrictions caused by COVID-19, and unfolds the imaginative scenarios of possible human interactions if the phenomenon of social distancing restrictions becomes a societal norm.
