An Analogy on the Difference between Boiling and Evaporation: A Strange Prison
Kizilcik, Hasan Sahin
Physics Teacher, v59 n8 p648-649 Nov 2021
Students may have some confusion understanding certain physical concepts and principles because of their abstract nature. Using analogies is one of the useful methods to help them more easily grasp abstract concepts to promote conceptual understanding. Bilaloglu classified analogies in four groups: (a) simple analogies, (b) storified analogies, (c) gamified analogies, and (d) analogies made with painting. In storified analogies, it is attempted to teach an event, phenomenon, concept, or principle by using an oral or written story.
