Government agencies in the District of Columbia are developing occupational health services in non-industrial activities. Institutional evaluation encompasses heating, ventilation, lighting, biological contaminants, lead, mercury, radiation, and noise levels. Worker safety education and management co-operation in controls implementation and acceptance will improve conditions. Educational efforts involve workshops and post-graduate courses. (BP)
