Schmeller, Rebecca; Stoll, Robert; Lifer, J. David
Journal of Education for Business, v96 n8 p485-497 2021
This study investigated the relationship between technical scores and socio scores with one commonly used strategy simulation, Glo-Bus©, filling a gap in the literature. Regression revealed finance as a technical score was the strongest predictor of socio scores. The recommendation is for professors to improve student finance skills before simulation use. The sample was limited to one university and one simulation software brand. Further research should explore this finding to improve student benefits from simulations This study informs the practice of professors and software designers to improve the impact of strategy simulations.
