Teaching STEM through Technology: Serving Marginalized Students with the Digital Curriculum
Pressley, Hugh
Technology and Engineering Teacher, v80 n7 p8-11 Apr 2021
This article discusses how middle and high school inner-city and rural students can increase their academic achievement and self-efficacy in STEM classes using The Digital Curriculum, a program that incorporates digital technology, software, and a design project. This curriculum, which integrates socially relevant content, gives students a chance to meet 2020 technological and engineering literacy standards (STEL) (ITEEA, 2020) while creating solutions for real-world mathematical and scientific problems.
