Professional Identity Development and Multicultural Identity among International Counselor Education Doctoral Students

This qualitative study examined the professional and multicultural identities among 13 international counselor education doctoral students. Participants identified cultural identities and difficulties with studying abroad, and their influence on their professional development. Implications and recommendations for counselor education programs are discussed.
